The Festival will be screening 163 feature films from 34 countries. Of these 63 will be UK premieres.

The 64th Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) runs from 16th to 27th June 2010.
If you do attend there are a number of industry events, as one would expect, which include a joint presentation on 21st June at 1:30pm by Shooting People and BAFTA called 'Short Sighted' which aims to deliver an intensive grounding in how to get your short film seen and distributed. Full details are on the Shooting People site http://shootingpeople.org/calendar/index.php?mode=detail&event=13389&day=2010-06-21&event_type=single
The EIFF also operates a 'Delegate' system which allows entry to a number of films and events, you might want to consider this option, but check first that the event you want to attend is covered by the badge.
I am sure the 'Delegate' system offers good value for money over paying for individual events and screenings; it certainly seems to be trying to open the doors to a number of other events non-delegates might not have access to. However for students to pay £40 per day, £110 for 3-7 days, and £150 for 8 - 12 days I think it is a bit pricey, bearing in mind a Student Accreditation for the Cannes Film Festival is FREE!
If you do manage to attend, please write in and tell us how it went for you, MM.
