Becoming a Location Manager in 1986 he maintained this position on 16 films and 69 commercials as well as 7 TV series.
Productions included, David Seltzer’s “Shining Through” for 20th Century Fox, “The Secret Rapture,” “Jack and Sarah,” “Princess Caraboo,” Iain Softley’s “Backbeat,” “Beyond Reason,” as well as working for EON Productions on the London shoot of “Goldeneye,” “Deadly Voyage” for Union Pictures, HBO and the BBC.
Chris entered Production Management whilst working on “The Wings of the Dove,” (winner of 2 BAFTAs and nominated for 4 Oscars). Other productions he PM'd include “A Kind of Hush” and Chris Menges’ “The Lost Son,” Hugh Hudson's “I Dreamed of Africa” starring Kim Basinger, in Kenya as well as working as production supervisor on “The Little Vampire” for Warner Bros.
Chris has also been involved with “Ali” directed by Michael Mann, starring Will Smith. “Around the World in 80 Days,” backed by Walden Media NY, starring Jackie Chan. “The Little Vampire,” for Warner Bros/Cometstone Pictures, starring Jonathan Lipnicki, Richard E. Grant, Jack Carter & John Wood and Line produced “Tube Tales,” a Sky Premiere/Horsepower Productions film. Which despite its low budget (£1M) still attracted the brightest talents in the British Film Industry. Including; Bob Hoskins, Charles McDougal, Jude Law, Rachel Weisz, Ray Winstone, Menhaj Huda, Anthony Hopkins, Billy McKinnon & Ewan McGregor.
He also Line Produced “Tabloid” for Ultimate Pictures and was UPM on “Ali” in Ghana for director Michael Mann. Chris co-produced “3 Guesses” with Richard Burridge also writing and directing. Chris has more recently worked on productions as diverse as "Around the World in Eighty Days" - "Garfield 2" - "Mission Impossible 3" and "Immortal Knights."
Under the TFD Banner Chris co-produced 'Black Water' in 2007 with Michael Robertson and Paul Cowan. Having conceived the idea for MovieMogul.co.uk with Paul in 2001 the site represents the culmination of one personal passion; to help make the road into film making less rocky and more identifiable for emerging film makers of all ages and from all backgrounds.
